Many people can tell you many steps on how to get your SEO ranking up on Google. First, not many people know exactly what SEO is. SEO is Search Engine Optimization which sounds fancy, right? All you really need to know is that SEO helps you find products and information on websites like Google, Bing, and many more search engine websites. I’m going to tell you one simple step to help your rankings on Google and Bing. It’s very fascinating that many people don’t do this for their businesses or organization, but once again this is my ONE piece of advice that will save your ranking.

What is it you might ask?

It’s called maintenance! What do I mean by that? If you are getting bombarded by SEO companies who won’t even touch your website and help maintain it you are not growing your SEO rankings organically. So after getting up in rankings you will drastically go down after a few days.

But isn’t the goal to stay on the first page of Google? Yes, you are right but you won’t be able to if you’re not continuously maintaining your website. Why is this so crucial? It is because your ranking depends on how many times your blog, update products, and update info.

Think of it as a store that you walk in during a grand opening and after a year of seeing it open the owner never changes anything or dares upgrade. You might think the business is not doing so well. Guess what? Google thinks of your website the same way and even worse, the clients and viewers that visit your website are the same way as well.

Website Maintenance

Don’t just build a website just to have a website. The same MAINTENANCE you do for the inside of your store, facility, or restaurant is the same amount of time you need dedicate to your website. “Well, Bryan I’m ok with the business I get with walk-in traffic.” Yes, for now, you are but you have to cycle from returning customers to new customers, and the only way to get new customers is to create awareness.

As you read this over, 2.078 Billion people in the world are using the internet and searching for what you have. Why wouldn’t you want that kind of awareness for your company and/or organization? You have a great product and/or service so share it with the world, but do it the right way.
